L.V.T’S OR LUXURY VINYL TILES HAVE GROWN IN POPULARITY OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS
A tough durable flooring solution that will stand up to a real beating but keep its looks for a long time.
There are three types of L.V.T:
- Fully stuck- This type of L.V.T is fully adhered to the subfloor using pressure sensitive adhesive.
- Click system- This type of L.V.T locks together like a laminate floor and requires no adhesive. This is ideal if you are likely to need to get access to the subfloor or just simply want to take it up and lay it in another area. Unlike a laminate floor in most cases this type of L.V.T does not need an underlay and also requires a much smaller expansion gap.
- Loose Lay- This type of L.V.T uses the weight of the plank together with a special backing that grabs the subfloor to keep it from moving. Underlay and adhesive are not required with this type of L.V.T.
